Now is the time.

Circumstances. They create all kinds of new energy. It may seem that the stuff that happens is unfortunate or sad, but often these assumptions are decidedly wrong. Our presidential election, the economy, Iraq and Afghanistan, and now a new health issue with Swine flu, all point to some really downer thoughts. It seems like things could not get worse, but then they do. Or do they? Perhaps if we embrace the very scary, meet it head on, our perspective on “circumstances gone bad” will mellow to a more manageable experience and more than likely will produce a positive effect on our lives.

If you don’t like the current government, work to fix things, don’t complain about it. If you’ve lost your job, stay busy, volunteer a few hours, help a friend and don’t hide. If your significant other leaves you, make a plan for the future, use your resources, reinvent yourself, be bold and don’t cry or drink your day away. It may be that now is exactly the time to realize your circumstances are exactly where you need to be right now, and wherever that is, it can’t be bad.
